far right: No, I didn't die. The little blue line is attached to a safety harness

My friend Chris got me started walking slack line in the early nineties on a one inch wide by 15 foot line between two trees in the front yard. It is suprisingly easy to learn. I could stand after about a week and was walking within a few more days. One of my neighbors was standing in one afternoon.

The highline was a different story for me. I get ill anytime I'm near an exposed edge. It was preety tough to step off onto the line and I fell several times before I made it across.

My current goal is to juggle, while walking blindfolded. I haven't had the practice line set up in long time though, so don't expect to see me on any of those home video TV shows in the near future.

There is one other site I know of where you can see some serious slackers. Chris and Scott are the ones that got me into this crazy sport and you can see Chris at horsetooth and Scott at lost arrow spire in Yosemite at slackline.com

If you know of any other slackline sites on the web I would be really interested. Please mailto
