Smooth Tropics Inclusive Adventure

Day 1:    Welcome to Costa Rica!  Upon arrival to Juan Santamaria International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at Daniel Oduber International Airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Toucan Maps Inc. representative. A Private transfer will then be provided to Arenal Paraiso Resort & Spa located in La Fortuna.  During your stay, you will enjoy a Superior room equipped with 2 double beds, cable tv, telephone, small fridge, air conditioning and a balcony with rocking chairs providing a phenomenal volcano view. Arenal Paraiso Resort offers 14 pools. The main "cool" pool is large and crossed by a scenic bridge. The other pools are Hot Spring Mineral Water Pools, one with a wet bar. This pool is perfect to relax in.  Breakfast is included daily.

Day 2:  After a morning and early afternoon of becoming acclimated with your new surroundings, you will be guided on an easy hike through the rain forest at the base of Arenal Volcano. Your bilingual guide will point out some of the many wonders of the tropical forest and with a little luck point out wildlife such as monkeys and sloths.  When you reach the clearing, you will be at the closest safe observation point.  A drink will be provided and hopefully with a little cooperation from Mother Nature, you will have the opportunity to view lava spewing from the volcano.
After the hike, you will be brought to Baldi Hot Springs, where you will have the opportunity to relax and bathe in the geo-thermally heated hot springs pools and enjoy a buffet dinner.

(Hot Springs upgrades such as Ecotermales, The Springs or Tabacon can be added for an additional charge)

Day 3: You have your choice of the following activities:

A) Professional guides will navigate  you through Class II and III rapids on the Rio Balsa.  This is a great adventure for first time and experienced rafters alike.  Hold on and enjoy the ride!   Lunch included.


B) Today you will take a jungle riverboat ride through the wilds of Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge.  This park is home to numerous species of wildlife including 3 species of monkeys, 2 species of sloths, caimans, waterfowl and many other creatures.  Lunch included.

Day 4: Transportation will be provided to the All Inclusive Hilton Doubletree Resort, located along the Central Pacific coast of  Costa Rica. During your stay, you will enjoy a standard room dressed with balcony overlooking tropical gardens. Your room is equipped with 2 double beds, coffee table and chairs, coffee maker, flat screen tv, climate control, hair dryer, iron and board, clock radio with MP3 connectivity, cordless phones, and high speed Internet access.

While at the Hilton, you will enjoy All Inclusive Accommodations including Meals Drinks (Both Alcoholic and Non).

Day 5: Privileged guests of the Hilton Doubletree Resort are treated to endless fun for both adults and children.  Complimentary activities include Dance Class, Beach Volleyball, Non Motorized Water Sports (such as Kayaking and Boogie Boards), Tennis, Aerobics, Karaoke, Live Music and the Kids Club just for kids.

Canopy Zipline can be added for an additional $65 per person.

Day 6:  Today is yours to do as you please.  Take advantage of the many resort activities, pick up an optional tour, or just sit back with a cool drink and perfect that tropical tan.

Optional tours that can be added include: Calypso Cruise to Tortuga Island, Day trip to Monteverde, ATV Adventure, Canopy Zipline, Rappelling.

Day 7:  A Private transfer will bring you back to Juan Santamaria International Airport, scheduled to arrive 3 hours prior to your departing flight.
